How can I use a different php.ini setting for my addon domain?

suPHP_ConfigPath is your key For more details, please refer the last paragraph of this URL How can I copy my php.ini settings to all folders in my account?

We prefer to explain it here itself though. We are considering the addon domain name to be addon.com, your account username as cpuser and primary domainname to be primary.com. Your website files for primary.com is at /home/cpuser/public_html where as those of addon.com is at /home/cpuser/public_html/addon/

Scenario :

You want to turn off register_globals for addon domain and the applications installed under addon domain, but wanted to keep register_globals on for primary.com

Solution :

1. Create a php.ini or edit the existing php.ini present in /home/cpuser/public_html
2. Edit php.ini and add the line

register_globals = On

3. Edit .htaccess and append a line

suPHP_ConfigPath  /home/cpuser/public_html

This step will enable php.ini setting in /home/cpuser/public_html to the entire account

4. Copy the php.ini from /home/cpuser/public_html to /home/cpuser/public_html/addon

5. Edit the php.ini and alter the line saying

register_globals = On

register_globals = Off

6. Create a new .htaccess, if one doesn't already exists and add a line

suPHP_ConfigPath  /home/cpuser/public_html/addon

After these, your addon domain should have register_globals off and primary domain will have register_globals on. If you still have any questions, please contact support.
