How can I configure to parse html files as PHP ?

Create a new .htaccess file in the public_html directory or edit an existing one. If you are editing an existing one, make sure that any previous entries for handling .html files as PHP or some other language is removed. Now add the following line in the .htaccess

AddHandler x-httpd-php .htm .html .php .php4 .php5

Alternatively, you can add the handlers from cPanel as below,

Cpanel -> Apache Handlers -> New:

Extension: .html .htm
Handler: x-httpd-php
