PostGIS is an extension to the PostgreSQL object-relational database system which allows GIS (Geographic Information Systems) objects to be stored in the database.

eGlueWeb's Postgresql hosting does offer the PostGIS extension. In addition, some servers has GEOS and PROJ4 libraries installed. proj and invproj executables are also available in those servers where additional libraries are installed.
